HOT TIP!
Conspiracy theorists beware of Moscow’s ‘Golden Brains’, a mass of metal atop the city's RAN building that some believe transmits mind-control signals. Perhaps best to pack some tinfoil, just in case.
With a local guide, move from one landmark to the next as you learn about the city’s fascinating past on a tour. Sparrow Hill offers great panoramic views, while the Temple of the Holy Trinity and Moscow State University make for photogenic backdrops. Enjoy a visit to Red Square, Lenin’s Tomb and the iconic St. Basil’s Cathedral, before entering the Kremlin and Armoury Museum.

HOT TIP!
Write your names on a padlock and lock it to a metal tree along the Moscow River. Then, toss the key away for good luck.
Today you’ll experience the city’s grand underbelly and Soviet-era metro stations. Your guide will explain how Stalin’s visions were reflected in the decor, chandeliers, sculptures and mosaics he commissioned, before taking a stroll down the cobblestoned pedestrian-only Arbat Street. During free time in the afternoon, perhaps hunt through the boutiques at the GUM arcade or learn of the area’s rail history at the Museum of the Moscow Railway.
