1. Uluru Sunrise and Sunsets
Uluru showcases the outback at it’s best with the rising sun changing the colour of the rock and lighting it up from behind to reveal it’s true magnificence.
For the perfect sunset shot, splurge on the Sounds of Silence dinner. Part of the Australian Tourism Hall of Fame, view the rock in true style, starting with canapes and sparking wine overlooking the Uluru- Kata Tjuta National Park and be mesmorised by the sound of the didgeridoo as darkness falls.

2. Hot Air Balloon Ride Over Alice Springs
Float silently alongside the rugged West MacDonnell Ranges and watch the sunrise stretch out across desert oaks and mulga scrub. Drift over the desert and keep an eye out for native wildlife, including wallabies and mighty red kangaroos for a different take on wildlife viewing from above.
3. Gunlom Plunge Pool
Spectacular views and plunge pools collide in Kakadu, where you can witness some of the park’s mos stunning vistas. The infinity pool at the top of the falls is a steep 1km hike up the cliff path, but worth the challenge to get spectacular shots like these.
4. Mataranka Thermal Pool
Next, take a 4-hour drive from Litchfield National Park to Mataranka, a small-town famous for its hot springs—Mataranka Thermal Pool and Bitter Springs. Mataranka Thermal Pool is nestled among luscious palm trees in Elsey National Park. Soak in its crystal clear waters and let its lovely warm temperature (constant 34°C) soothe those aches and pains. A short distance away, Bitter Springs is much less crowded but is also deeper than the thermal pool, so it is not very suitable for young children. After feeling refreshed, head down to the Mataranka town where you can have a nice meal, explore the local museums and spend the night.
5. Florence Falls, Litchfield National Park
Litchfield National Park is a land shaped by water. Over the millennia, the relentless flow has created a dramatic landscape of sheer escarpments and deep gorges, not to mention some of the most inviting swimming spots in the Top End - including stunning Florence Falls.
6. Field of Lights, MacDonnell Ranges
This free 10 night event is the only authentic Aboriginal light festival of it’s kind, showcasing the oldest continuous culture on earth and combining it with the latest technology for a spectacular outcome like no other. Seton the 300-million year old canvas of the MacDonnell Ranges, it is a sight not to be missed.
7. Kata Tjuta- The Olgas
Arguably better than the base walk at Uluru, the Kta-Tjuta Valley of the Winds walk offers a hugely diverse landscape and multitudes of places to explore. There are so many amazing places to shoot from. The trail can get hot and closes early on these days, so we recommend you make this an early morning venture.
8. Mindil Beach Sunset
Famous for it's golden red glow at sunset, Mindil Beach is the perfect place to grab some local cuisine at the Beach Markets and enjoy basking in the warmth of the setting sun.
9. Katherine Gorge
Katherine Gorge can be explored via foot, boat, kayak or helicopter. Whichever form of transportation you choose you will be treated to breath-taking vast landscapes of Nitmiluk National Park. Here you can find stunning gorges and cascading waterfalls that will steal the show on your Instagram feed.
10. Karlu Karlu - Devil's Marbles
The Devils Marbles are a collection of massive granite boulders strewn across a valley south of Tennant Creek. Standing at up to 6 metres high and formed over millions of years, they continue to crack and change and provide dynamic and developing images for the most avid photographer.
